As I was reading my Bible this morning - Psalm 106, it occurred to me that there were phrases that were the downfall of the Israelites. Here they are...
"they grew envious"
"they made a calf"
"(they) worshipped and idol"
"they exchanged their Glory"
"they forgot the God who saved them"
"they despised the pleasant land"
"they did not believe"
"they grumbled"
"(they) did not obey"
"they yoked themselves"
"they ate sacrifices"
"they provoked the LORD to anger"
I found this a very sobering list.
