I have just finished reading this morning about the bad shepherds, the lying prophets, in Jeremiah 23. Verse 14 NS 15 especially jumped out at me...
"And among the prophets of Jerusalem I have seen something horrible: they commit adultery and live a lie....
they strengthen the hands of evildoers, so that no one turns from his wickedness."
A few verses on from that (in v.16) Jeremiah says this.... "They speak visions from their own minds; not from the mouth of the LORD."
Those of us who are shepherds need to search our hearts.
