Where Does Your Help Come From?

In Isaiah's time the people of Israel were in trouble - world powers were bearing down on them.

What should they do? Where should they go for help?

An alliance with Egypt?

Dong! Wrong choice.

Isaiah 31:1 (New International Version)


1 Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help,
who rely on horses,
who trust in the multitude of their chariots
and in the great strength of their horsemen,
but do not look to the Holy One of Israel,
or seek help from the LORD.

What they did wrong...and it was a bad mistake....they did not look to God or seek help from Him.

TFTD:God wants us to rely on Him and have Him direct our lives.
