Why is it important to us?
First, we know now that the Kingdom of heaven has broken upon the earth....the earth is now headed for redemption not disaster..God's mighty power is now at work creating new lives.
Second, because of the resurrection, we know that death has been defeated and we will be raised to live with Christ.
Third, the resurrection gives authority to the Church's witness to the world.
Fourth, the resurrection gives meaning to the Lord's Supper.
Fifth, the resurrection helps give us meaning to life and a hope for the future.
Sixth, the resurrection assures us that Christ is alive and ruling His Kingdom. He is real and not a legend.
Seventh, the same power that raised Jesus from death to life is available to us, to help us live our Christian lives.
