In Daniel Chapter 2 there is a very good illustration of HOW we learn spiritual truth.
King Nebuchadnezzar has a bazaar dream and he asks Daniel to interpret what it means.
Daniel says to the King that he cannot do it.... "but there is a God in heaven who reveals mysteries..." (v.28).
That is what happens.
In verse 47 Nebuchadnezzar says to Daniel, "Surely your God is the God of gods and the Lord of kings and a revealer of mysteries...."
There are a couple of things here...
First, Daniel acknowledges that God is the one who reveals mysteries.
Secondly, Daniel tells the King that. It is like when Paul says "How will they hear without a preacher"
It is after that process that the King is able to integrate what he has learned and express it.
We learn in a similar way.
Have a great day,
Peter Clark.
