Beware Of Hypocrisy.

In Acts 23 Paul is before the Sanhedrin and he is struck on the mouth by one of those in attendance.

Paul retorts, "God will strike you, you whitewashed wall! You sit there to judge me according to the law, yet you yourself violate the law by commanding that I be struck" (23:3)

Jesus referred to the Pharisees on occasions as "whitewashed tombs" - all clean and attractive on the outside but filled with unclean contents.

We have to be very careful not to practice the art of looking good on the outside - appearing pious and godly, but being filled with all sorts of unclean thoughts, habits and actions, hidden from general view.

Have a great day,

Peter Clark.
