True Repentance.

2 Chronicles 7:14

"If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land."

In Chapter 6 of 2 Chronicles, Solomon asked God to make provisions for the people when they sinned.

God answered with four conditions for forgiveness:

(1)          We are to humble ourselves by admitting our sins,

(2)          We are to pray to God, asking for forgiveness,

(3)          We are to seek God continually,

(4)          We are to turn from our sinful behaviour.

All this means that true repentance is more than just talk - it is changed behaviour.
