My reading this morning took me to the Book of Jonah.
I was reminded of the great compassion of God in Chapter 3 and verse 10.
After hesitation, Jonah ends up in Nineveh and as a result of his preaching, the Nineties repent.
And they really repent.
In verse 10 we read: "When God saw what they did and how they turned from their evil ways, he had compassion and did not bring upon them the destruction he had threatened."
How good is that we have a compassionate God.
