The Danger Of Pride.

Proverbs 16:5

The LORD detests all the proud of heart.
Be sure of this:They will not go unpunished."

We tend to think that pride is not so bad. Perhaps we are of the opinion that there are a lot worse sins that we could be involved in. Not so.

Pride is that very confident voice inside us that assures us that our way is best....that we can work it out better than anyone else.

At it's very worst it is resisting God leading of us and believing that we are able to live without His help.

Isn't that at the very core of how our society is living?

Thought for the day (TFTD): Watch your life. Look out for the times that you want to just do everything your way, and perhaps when you are looking down on people as lesser beings.

It is only when we eliminate pride (or at least begin to) that God can help us become the people we are meant to be.
